HOUSTON COUNTY – An arrest has been made in the Friday, Feb. 1 homicide of 24-year-old Cadarius Williams, according to Houston County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Gary “GP” Shearer.

Williams’ body was discovered on a rural roadway in the Tadmor community Friday morning.

The chief deputy reported 48-year-old Tyron Mark was arrested and charged with the murder after Mark “… attempted to elude law enforcement and (a) vehicle pursuit ensued. Mark was eventually stopped and subsequently arrested for evading.”

Shearer added, “Investigators were able to recover evidence that linked Mark to the murder. Investigators R. Martin and Sgt. M. McCreight sought an arrest warrant and submitted information to Precinct One Justice of the Peace Clyde Black, who issued the warrant this morning (Sunday) shortly after 11 AM. The warrant was then served while Mark was in custody in the Angelina County Jail.”
