Maxine Brown

Maxine Brown, age 96 of Crockett passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 in the Houston County Nursing Home.   Maxine was born August 21, 1921 in Crockett to parents, O. R. “Hop” Robison and Jane Bell Robison.  She was a member of the Crockett First Presbyterian Church and Center Hill United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Houston County Cancer Support Group.  Maxine’s passions in life were traveling, fishing, living the farm life and being very independent.  She deeply loved her family especially her grandchildren.

Maxine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Tricia Brown of Crockett; grandchildren, Angie Osborne and husband, Mikey of Crockett and Meg Jordan and husband, Jessie of College Station; great-grandchildren, Baylee and Corbin Osborne of Crockett; numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by husband, Wilse Brown; son, Richard Brown; parents, O. R. “Hop” Robison and Jane Bell Robison; brother, Harry Robison, sister, Wilma Crittenden and husband, Crit.

Funeral services for Maxine Brown were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Brother Mikey Osborne officiating.  Interment followed in the Cedar Point Cemetery.  Family received friends for visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018 in the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
