Barbara Ann Jeffus

Barbara Ann Jeffus, age 72, of Lovelady, passed away peacefully Wednesday, the 13th day of September, 2017 in Dallas.  She was born on the 5th day of August, 1945 to Calvin Riggs Sr. and Joanne Whited Riggs at Laredo Air Force Base, Laredo, Texas. She had lived most of her lifetime in Lovelady and was a faithful member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Barbara was loved by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous friends.She will be truly missed.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, David M. Jeffus of Lovelady, TX; daughters, Lorraine Sue Jeffus of Glen Heights, TX and Angela Lyn Treadwell and husband Jeff of Latexo, TX; son, Jason David Jeffus and wife Melinda of Lovelady, TX; grandchildren, Cameron Larue of Waxahachie, TX, Trevor Larue of Glen Heights, TX, Brandon Neal, Tabitha Cook, Jordan Lufsey, Jacob Jeffus, Joshua Jeffus, Morgan Jeffus, Taelor Brumley, Avery Brumley of Lovelady, TX, and Justin Treadwell of Latexo, TX; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Larue and Chloe Larue of Waxahachie, TX; sister, Mary Jane Pohl and husband Richard of Austin, TX; brother, Calvin Riggs Jr. and wife Franka of the Woodlands, TX; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Riggs Sr. and Joanne Whited Riggs and daughter, Kimberly Ann Jeffus.

Friends were cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 15th day of September, 2017 in the Antioch Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Ann Jeffus were held Saturday, the 16th day of September, 2017 at ten o’clock in the morning in the Antioch Baptist Church with Dr. Tony Wolfe and Dr. Bill Jones officiating.  Interment followed in the Lovelady Antioch Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Brandon Neal, Jordan Lufsey, Jacob Jeffus, Cameron Larue, Trevor Larue and Danny Gearheart Jr.   Honorary Pallbearers were Ricky Jeffus, Mike Jeffus, Kerry Adams, Pat Jeffus, and Don Carroll.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in memory of Barbara Ann Jeffus may be directed to the Antioch Baptist Church Building Fund, 4416 FM 230, Lovelady, TX 75851
