RUBY JEWEL ROBERTS
Mrs. Ruby Jewel Roberts, age 95, of Conroe, previously of Crockett, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 in Conroe. She was born in Many, Louisiana on Nov. 8, 1917 and had moved to Crockett in 1957. Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and had worked at Brookshire’s Grocery for over 20 years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Crockett.
Survivors include, her eldest son, Charles W. Roberts and wife, June of Conroe; youngest son, Jimmy T. Roberts and wife, Betty of Spring; grandchildren, Christy Stanley of Conroe, Sherrie Roberts of Conroe, Rachel Jack and husband, Robin of Hebron, Kentucky, Bobby Roberts and Gail Cook of Latexo; great-grandchildren, Kasie Howell, Kealie Howell, Kayden Davidson, Cori Stanley, Bree Baker, Archer Jack, Brad Roberts, Adam Roberts, Josh Roberts and Austin Roberts; sisters, Doris Hogue and husband, Junior of Arlington, Dorothy Dortch of Shreveport, Louisiana; special friends, Joyce and Pat Patterson of Latexo. Preceded in death by husband, Joe C. Roberts; sons, Doyle Roberts and Ronald Roberts; grandson, Carl Dean Roberts; sisters, Marie Hardin and Velma Mitchell; brother, Virgil Turner; father and mother, Walter Turner and Pearl (Patterson) Turner.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Jewel Roberts were held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Goss officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Memorial Park. Condolences for Mrs. Roberts may be left at online obituaries www.callawayallee.com.
