Letter To The Editor – DuBourg

Monday, February 13th, 2012

Dear Editor,

Sadie DuBourg was murdered by a hit and run driver in front of the church on South FM 228. Sandie was a 3-1/2 year old black Standard Poodle who was full of a puppy’s joy for life. She loved playing fetch, digging up moles and gophers, chasing squirrels and having her tummy rubbed. My only prayer is that the coward who hit Sadie and sped away does NOT have any animals himself, because if he shows the same disregard for life that he showed after hitting Sadie his own animals would suffer at his hands. Sadie leaves her parents Thomas and Leona DuBourg, a 9-year-old sister Buddha and a cousin Friday who is a black cat Sadie adopted and brought home one cold and rainy night three years ago. Sadie and Friday played like sisters, play fighting and playing tag for many hours at a time. Sadie brought a joy, love and awesome wonder for life to our house and she will be grievously missed. As for the coward who hit her I pray that God have mercy on your pitiful soul.

Thomas DuBourg
