KELCIE HOPKINS
Mr. Kelcie Hopkins, age 98, of Bedias, passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 in the Riverwood Healthcare in Madisonville. He was born Oct. 17, 1913 in Dierks, Arkansas. Mr. Hopkins was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was a member of the Bobby Twitty Am Vet Post # 105 in Bedias. Mr. Hopkins was a retired boiler operator and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter, Karla Hardamon and husband, Lonnie of Bedias; grandchildren, John C. Hopkins and wife, Carrie of Montgomery, Stephanie Hardamon of Bedias, Misty Elesby and husband, Mike of Houston; great-grandchildren, Kindra and Coleton; sister-in-law, Lydia Grady of Malakoff; nieces, Pam Akens of Roswell, New Mexico, Cindy Jackson of Malakoff, Jane Finch of Albuquerque, New Mexico; great-nieces, Emily Aaron of Malakoff, Audra Aaron of Malakoff, Angela Jackson of Malakoff. Preceded in death by wife of 51 years, Judy Hopkins in 2000; and son, John Hopkins in 2002.
Military graveside funeral services for Mr. Kelcie Hopkins were held Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the New Energy Cemetery with Rev. Steve Meadows officiating. Interment follow.ed Condolences for Mr. Hopkins may be left at online obituaries www.callawayallee.com.
