HAROLD DENMAN LUCE

Mr. Harold Denman Luce, Jr., age 62, of Pharr, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at McAllen Heart Hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1949 to Earline and Harold Denman Luce, Sr. After wedding his love Kathy Hermes they settled in Pharr, TX to raise their family. Harold served for 30 years as a produce inspector for the USDA and happily retired in 2005. He was lovingly known as the “idea man” by his family and loved doing creative projects and writing poetry. “Laughter through tears, my favorite emotion.”

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Luce, children, Georgia and Moses Gunesch and Sarah and Joshua Hansen, mother and step-father, Earline and G.C. Shanks, sister and brother in law, Dianne and Mike Taylor and numerous loving family members and devoted friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Harold Deman Luce, Jr. were held Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Skinner Silva Funeral Home on West Sam Houston in Pharr.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the New Energy Cemetery.
