GISD Accepting Nominations For Gifted And Talented Program

Grapeland Independent School District is presently accepting nominations for students currently enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade to be screened, tested, and considered for the Advanced Academics Program.
The Advanced Academics Program offers enrichment in the subject of language arts integrated with science, math, social studies, and the fine arts. The program places an emphasis on critical thinking skills, creative thinking skills, and problem solving skills.
Parents, guardians, students, and community members have the opportunity to nominate students in grades Kindergarten through fifth at this time.
An Advanced Academics nomination form can be obtained from the office at Grapeland Elementary School. Nominations will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 10.
No nominations will be accepted after that date.
