GEORGE PERRY ‘PERK’ HALLMARK

Mr. George Perry “Perk” Hallmark, age 71, of Kennard, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 in the Hospice in the Pines Inpatient Unit in Lufkin. He was born Aug. 25, 1940 in Arbor and had lived in Kennard. Mr. Hallmark was a veteran of the United States Army. He was member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church where he served on the board of trustees. Mr. Hallmark was retired having worked as a design engineer for Cameron Iron Works for 30 years.

Survivors include wife, Patsy Ann Powell Hallmark of Kennard; son, Byron Lynn Hallmark and wife, Kendra Kay of Cypress; grandsons, Kyle Brandon Hallmark of Cypress, Aaron Michael Hallmark of Cypress; brother, Terry Von Hallmark and wife, Sue of Crockett; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by parents, V. B. and Rachel (Tatum) Hallmark and sister, Marianne Hallmark Murchison.

Funeral services for Mr. George Perry “Perk” Hallmark were held Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Gibson officiating. Interment followed in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
