Etech To Host Job Fair In Palestine

PALESTINE - Job seekers, take note!

Etech, Inc., a global customer interaction/acquisition and contact center services provider company, will be hosting a job fair from 1 to 4 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16 at the Palestine Workforce Center, 500 E. Murchison St. in Palestine. Stephanie Peery, recruiter for Etech, said the company is hiring for numerous entry level positions.

“We are going to have quite a bit of a ramp up within the next month or so,” Peery said. “We don’t currently have a systemic number, we’re just trying to get them ready to go. We are seeking to fill several open positions in the Rusk, Lufkin and Nacogdoches areas. It is mainly for Rusk but we are hiring in Lufkin and Nacogdoches as well.”

Peery explained positions will be in a call center.

“We are looking for entry level customer service representatives, entry level inbound and outbound sales representatives, bilingual sales representatives, collections representatives. The educational requirements vary by the campaign (position). Most of the campaigns we have here don’t even require a high school diploma or GED. There are a few that do. We have paid training so experience is not really required. It is a plus if you have experience in a call center environment but it is not required,” she said.

Regarding the starting wage, Peery said it varies on the position.

“Bilingual positions will pay one dollar more per hour, but most position will be between $8 and $10 per hour. That’s the base, but there is potential to earn more with bonuses. The benefits begin six months after employment,” she said.

“The work schedule (after training),” Peery continued, “will depend on the campaign and the clients’ needs. Some can be more flexible than others.”
