Elkhart First Baptist Church Announces Upcoming Events

Elkhart’s Ladies group, Circle of Friends, will meet Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. with Aleta Duff as hostess. The group will meet in the Fellowship Hall and they will focus on making Valentine Cards for the homebound and shut-in members of the church. There will be a Soup Luncheon following.  All women are invited to this time and are asked to bring items to work with lace, dollies, buttons, ribbons along with your work tools.

Family Game Night will be Saturday, Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. If you are planning on attending please make sure to bring some food and join in as the fun begins.

Each Wednesday immediately following school (3:20 p.m.) the  Children’s Choir and More meet.  Children do not have to be a member of this church to participate. It is a community wide event.

Also, each Wednesday the Adult Choir practices at 6 p.m. and Hand Bell practice follows at 7 p.m.

There is a special called meeting on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 4:30 p.m. In the fellowship hall. There are several areas we can go with for this summer’s Vacation Bible School and we are asking all workers and potential workers to come to this meeting to determine the programs that will spark the children’s interest.

Mrs. (Roger) Rita Parker is retiring after many, many years of commitment to the Elkhart State Bank. There will be a retirement party at the Elkhart State Bank on Monday, Jan. 30. All church members are invited to wish her Happy Retirement.
