Mr. B. L. Peterson, Jr., age 80, of Crockett, passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 at his residence. He was born Oct. 12, 1931 in Cypress, Texas and was a resident of Crockett for the past 43 years. Mr. Peterson was a retired third generation dairy farmer and member of the Central Baptist Church in Crockett where he served as deacon.

Survived by wife, Kathy Peterson of Crockett; children, Susan May and husband, Roy of Crockett, Sandra Ramirez and husband, Caeser of Houston, Eric Peterson and wife, Deborah of Latexo; grandchildren, Amanda Moss and husband, Rev. Jeremiah of Atlanta, Daniel May of Crockett, Evan Peterson of Grapeland, Ethan Peterson of Grapeland, Eron Peterson of Grapeland and Caeser Ramirez, Jr. of Houston; great grandchildren, Jeremiah “Wade” Moss of Atlanta, Madilynn Moss of Atlanta and Kathryn “Kate” Moss of Atlanta; brother, Lloyd Peterson and wife, Betty of Grapeland; sister, Leotha McDonald of Houston; mother in law, Versel “Beth” Possoit; numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives, as well as several step-grandchildren and step- great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, B.L. Peterson, Sr. and Ruby Stivers Peterson.

Memorial services for Mr. B. L. Peterson, Jr. were held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Central Baptist Church with Rev. John Goss officiating.
