ALBERTINE LUKER BROCKETT ORNDORFF

Mrs. Albertine Luker Brockett Orndorff, age 91, of Lufkin, previously of Ratcliff, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 in the Hospice in the Pines Inpatient Unit in Lufkin. She was born April 18, 1920 in Ratcliff, Texas to the late Will and Irene (Dowdy) Luker and was formerly as resident of Houston for 28 years where she was employed as a cashier until she retired. Upon retirement she moved back to Ratcliff and then to Lufkin until her passing. She was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Donald Brockett of Sacramento, California; four step-daughters, Loretta, Barbara, Beverly and Lana; one sister, Ruth English of Lufkin; nine grandchildren, Sherry and Lynn Batey, Sandy English and Donald, Daniel and Alicia Brockett, Christine and Mike Green, Amber and Rick Arias, Robin Ruport, Susanne Craycraft, Kay Kay Wilson and J. R. Wilson; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; special friends Dewey and Susy Foreman and Faye Wilcox. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lloyd Brockett in 1976 and Clyde Orndorff in1990; two daughters, Pat English in 1998 and Kay McCann in 1996; one son-in-law, Bobby English in 2011; her beloved grandson, David Wilson in 2007; four brothers, Atmar Luker, Robert Earl Luker, Morris Luker and Joe Luker; other relatives and a host of  dear and loving friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Albertine Luker Brockett Orndorff will be held Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
