GRAPELAND - Candidate for State Representative Trent Ashby was the guest speaker at the Grapeland Noon Lions Club meeting held on Thursday, Feb. 16.

CROCKETT -  A Palestine woman got a trip to jail for Valentine’s Day after state law enforcement officers found what is suspected to be cocaine and other drugs in her vehicle.

CROCKETT - Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a disease that seemingly has no rhyme or reason. It does not play favorites. Age, gender, race or ethnicity are factors that may play a part, but the disease is non-discriminatory.

MS is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system, which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another.
